All Boxed Up -The Telegraph Winter Beauty Box

I forgot to mention earlier so that I could share this amazing deal with everyone but a few weeks ago, a good friend of mine forwarded me a link via good old Facebook. Initially she had sent me the link through an article from MoneySavingExpert.com and at first glance I thought it was for Telegraph readers only and I had clearly missed the boat (the offers where you have to inconveniently go out of your way and buy a copy of the paper on a particular date, which in my case had already passed). After dismissing it, my friend went onto send me the second link. Still sceptical, I clicked on the link anyway.

The Telegraph had teamed up with a company called All Boxed Up and were offering a collection of goodies worth over £100, all for £15 (plus a cost of £3.99 for postage& packaging). Surely this was too good to be true and I was pretty adamant that there were some sort of sneaky strings attached somewhere. Now I would usually be going through all of the (pesky) small print but surprisingly there was actually not that much text. It was pretty much a very brief summary of the kit and then a “buy now” button. So with much hesitation, I clicked on it.

I had almost forgotten about it until about 2 weeks later, I received an email from All Boxed Up to update me on the progress of my order and informed me that their warehouse were going to begin to ship out the beauty boxes from the end of the week. Fast forward another couple of weeks and I receive a boxed parcel from concierge. Hurrah! I open the box and pull out the contents, not sure why I was still feeling so sceptical, half expecting something from the kit to be missing. But no, everything was there.

The box contained two Pecksniffs products; a hand & body moisturiser, and a bath & shower gel; a shampoo from Joico K-Pak, a Bellapierre mascara, a Calvin Klein lipstick (although the colour received was not a red as shown in the photo but more of a pinky coral shade called Flutter), a Nails Inc. nail varnish in shade St Mark’s Square which is a metallic mid-purple tone (this was the only product replacement as the original was a nail varnish from OPI) and an Elemis SOS Emergency Cream. All products were full sized apart from the Elemis cream which was a 15ml sample size. All this was for £18.99 including p&p. I’m not sure if this is a deal that they run frequently but after this, I should be signing up to MoneySaving Expert.com so I can hear about these deals in the first instance! It’s an absolute bargain and would make excellent gifts especially for those who love make-up and pampering goodies. The whole product replacement thing though, I’m pretty sure I only found out about it after I received the box. Something like that should definately be made known prior to purchase. However, I don’t have too many complaints but I can see how it could potentially cause for unhappy customers.

The deal ends midnight tonight so there’s still a few hours to grab yourself a beauty box. If you’re interested, click here.  Go knock yourselves out and have a Happy New Year. See you next year! x
