My Skin Care Routine: Morning & Evening

I didn’t actually ever think that this day would come (yes, ever so dramatic I know). I have always wanted to film a skin care routine and it’s not just me, but a few of you have asked to see it too so the pressure was on. As you can imagine, filming in the bathroom isn’t the most practical of things that one can do. Plus, there’s the added issue of how does one film oneself washing the face with the camera in front? I mean, there’s just the small matter of a sink in the way, not to mention a huge mirrored cabinet, you get the gist. I’ve played the image in my head over and over of how I envisioned propping my camera onto my mini, malleable tripod and then very carefully situating it in the cabinet without it toppling over and falling smack bank on my head or even worse, shattered to pieces in the sink mid face wash (my boyfriend would have an epileptic fit). Just the thought makes me shudder. Then one random night, and I am not sure why I hadn’t thought of it before (it’s almost certainly not rocket science), to film from behind with the camera pointing at me whilst I’m doing my whole routine in the mirror *yes, yes., pats self on back*. Fast forward to now and we have a video up live. Woo hoo!

I just thought I’d point out that the products used in both my routines are inter-changeable. I often switch up my products, particularly because as a beauty blogger, I like to try out new stuff now and again (no kiddin’). These are the products that I happen to be using at the moment and some that I totally swear by (the Garnier eye makeup remover, First Aid Beauty pads, Peter Thomas Roth un wrinkle pads, Sunday Riley – all of it).

Some might find this excessive but I’m not getting any younger and you only get to have one face (unless you opt for drastic measures) so I think it’s something that’s worth investing in. Just my two pence.

Hope you enjoy it.
