Without further ado, heres how the second part of Beauty Blogger’s Corner went down.

Lipstick or lipgloss?

I am a lipstick girl all the way! I don’t really get on with lipgloss, I find it too gloopy and hard to work with!

If you were running extremely late had ONE MINUTE to do your makeup, what would you do/use? what would you skip?

If I had to do my make up in 1 minute, I would brush my brows through with a brow mascara, dap on some under eye concealer and apply a brightening powder all over my face, and curl my lashes if I had time!

What makeup product or brand do you think is overrated?

Most eye creams I find to be over rated! They never achieve what they say on the bottle, but I use them all the same!

What’s the best makeup invention?

Best make up invention would have to be eyelash curlers. I never used to use them because I have pretty curly lashes naturally, but they make such a difference in opening up your eyes, and you can really tell the difference! If I don’t apply any mascara during the day, I still try and curl my lashes to make myself look more awake.

Favourite skincare brand/product?

My favourite skin care brand would have to be a tie between Nuxe and La Roche Posay. Both brands really know what they are doing in terms of skincare, and I love all of their products!

Lipstick or lipgloss?
Lipstick. Definitely lipstick. I’m really not a fan of stick glosses, but saying that, give me a non-sticky gloss, with a good amount of shine, I’ll give it a try. Lipstick seems so universal though, it’s a product that can be worn anywhere, in any shade, with any hair style. And you don’t have to worry about your hair sticking to your lips. Ugh.
If you were running extremely late had ONE MINUTE to do your makeup, what would you do/use? what would you skip?
Concealer is an essential, so is doing my brows and putting some colour on my cheeks. I would look like the undead, otherwise, and not those good looking, sexy vampires, i’m talking some serious case of ghostly, zombie esc undead. Concealer is always needed under my eyes to brighten everything up and conceal those tricky little blemishes, as I would feel slightly self conscious about them, especially if I was running late. Blusher/highlighter is something to bring some colour to my face, as yeah, the undead look is not flattering. Lastly, it would have to be my brows. Either pencil or powder, this would take the most time, as they frame my face, and can make of break my look. They have to be strong and defined.
I’d skip foundation; all that blending isn’t needed. Lip products can be missed as well as mascara, as a quick curl of the lashes with my eyelash curlers will set me up for the day.
What makeup product or brand do you think is overrated?
Hmm. Overrated. I don’t know about overrated, but the higher end companies do tend to be overpriced in my opinion. I don’t think it’s in me to spend almost £40 on an eyeshadow palette – I think my mum would disown me. I do think that Benefit’s ‘They’re Real’ mascara is overrated, as it did nothing for my lashes, at all. My lashes need something to seriously hold the curl, and they fell completely flat. Unless they bring out a waterproof version, no thank you.
What’s the best makeup invention?
Concealer. Hands down. It’s perfect. I can go out of the house with just this on, and I’ll feel fantastic, as I’ll know my dark circles are covered and the blemishes/redness on my cheeks are less noticeable. Seventeen’s ‘Phwoarr Paint’ is amazing for all of these issues.
Favourite skincare brand/product?
I do have some serious love for La Roche-Posay and Una Brennan, both of which can be found in Boots. I mostly use La Roche-Posay for skincare treatments, like Effaclar Duo + and Effaclar K, but Una Brennan is a skincare staple – Pre-Cleanse Oil, Clay Mask, Moisture Mask, Eye Cream. They’re all essential items, and I cannot live without them.

Lipstick or lipgloss?
Lipstick. Lipgloss and I just don’t get along…
If you were running extremely late had ONE MINUTE to do your makeup, what would you do/use? what would you skip?
Wow – one minute is a little extreme… I’d probably choose to be late and slap on a high coverage foundation, concealer, lightly contour/add a little warmth and colour back into my face, eyebrows, mascara, powder and then throw a lipstick in my bag to apply later.
What makeup product or brand do you think is overrated?
In all honesty, MAC. I do feel like they’ve got some good products, but there is a lot better out there…

What’s the best makeup invention?
Who ever created foundation/concealer is my lifesaver! I always feel a lot more comfortable with a coating of medium-high coverage foundation on my face.
Favourite skincare brand/product?
Simple is definitely my favourite – I have pretty sensitive skin and so it’s one of the only brands I’ve found that I can actually use.

Lipstick or lipgloss?

Lipstick! So many colours to choose from and lasts for ages.

If you were running extremely late had ONE MINUTE to do your makeup, what would you do/use? what would you skip?

Luckily I don’t get spots very often so I’d do foundation to even everything, mascara is a must and that would be it.

What makeup product or brand do you think is over rated?

Mac. Don’t get me wrong I love Mac’s eyeshadows and lipsticks but the foundations are not very good and neither are their blushers.

What’s the best makeup invention?

Blush for sure. Makes you look healthy and awake.

Favourite skincare brand/product?

Defo Origins. Its my go to skincare brand.

Lipstick or lipgloss?
A couple months ago, I would have immediately written down lipstick but right now I am really conflicted! Is it just me or are lip glosses making a glorious comeback? I adore lip products, and have a very irrational collection of both lipsticks and lip glosses, so I simply cannot decide.
If you were running extremely late had ONE MINUTE to do your makeup, what would you do/use? what would you skip?
Oh, I very frequently run extremely late, so I got this one. I would apply a highlighting concealer (such as YSL Touche Éclat) underneath and at the corners of my eyes, down my nose, around my lips, and a little bit on my forehead and chin; blend everything with fingers; apply a coat of mascara on my lashes; brush through my brows with Benefit’s Speed Brow; and quickly glide some lip gloss over my lips. Voilà! That can be done if I have a minute to leave the house (provided the brow and lip thing are happening as I am already rushing down the stairs).
What makeup product or brand do you think is overrated?
I’ve got no idea – things that are wildly talked about usually don’t really intrigue me, so I don’t even try them out (she said after having mentioned two of the most talked about products in the previous question). Well, when I do, I am usually not disappointed.
What’s the best makeup invention?
Again, I cannot decide for one product only. I guess contouring is quite revolutionary regarding makeup; it can truly transform one’s face without surgically inserting plastic bits in there.
 Favourite skincare brand/product?

I am a natural skincare kind of girl  I have very sensitive skin, and anything artificial seems to irritate it. Lately I have been loving Eve of St. Agnes hydrating facial silk (link to my review: http://www.theundercoverprincess.com/2014/04/review-eve-of-st-agnes-hydrating-facial.html) as a night cream. It has such a juicy smell, and hydrates my skin wonderfully.

Lipstick or lipgloss?
Lipgloss for me, though I hate wearing it when in the wind – hair gets so stuck!
If you were running extremely late had ONE MINUTE to do your makeup, what would you do/use? what would you skip?
I’d definitely apply foundation, eyebrow shadow and mascara. I’d skip BB cream, blusher, eyeliner and lip gloss (only when absolutely necessary though!)
What makeup product or brand do you think is overrated?
I think Maybelline is overrated. Their nail varnishes are good but I don’t see the great attraction to Dream Matte Mousse. It always makes my skin oily and never stays on for very long.

What’s the best makeup invention?
Best makeup invention is, (and I hate to sound like a bore by repeating myself!) but it’s contouring! It amazes me how much some careful highlighting can alter someones face!
An example of how conturing and highlighting can dramatically change the way you look.
 Favourite skincare brand/product?
I can’t use a lot of skincare products as I have very sensitive, combination skin. I stick to dermalogica,  after receiving some free at a press launch.

Lipstick or lipgloss?
Lipstick
If you were running extremely late had ONE MINUTE to do your makeup, what would you do/use? what would you skip?
I would most definitely apply light coverage foundation and mascara the rest I would cover with glasses if I was going out, since eyebrows take longer to perfect, and I would ditch lipstick, blusher and blush as I don’t normally wear these anyway! 🙂
What makeup product or brand do you think is overrated?
I have not really thought about this or come across a brand I really dislike :S I will have to leave this question blank
What’s the best makeup invention?
Eyelash curlers 😉 or eyelash enhancer serum if its a cosmetic based answer and not tool based!
Favourite skincare brand/product?
It has to be GlamGlow just love this brand!! 😀

Lipstick or lipgloss?

Lipgloss – my favourite is the new YSL Babydoll Kiss and Blush, it lasts and I love the matte finish for a change. Gloss + hair + windy day = a big old mess!!

If you were running extremely late had ONE MINUTE to do your makeup, what would you do/use? what would you skip?

My basic morning routine is foundation, I always apply using the Real Techniques buffing brush. Add shape to my brows as they are really fair and apply lashings of mascara! I would try squeeze in my favourite shadow from Urban Decay in Half Baked, the bronze helps make my blue eyes pop!

What makeup product or brand do you think is overrated?

Lip plumpers – I am still yet to find one that really does what it says! DuWop is a close second but I am looking for an amazing number 1!!!!

What’s the best makeup invention?

Magnetic Lash – I am hooked! I have short fair lashes and this product really is incredible at giving you length and volume, its like wearing falsies every day!!! Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Favourite skincare brand/product?

I’m loving Erno Laszlo at the moment, I am new to it but their black cleansing bar and oil duo is incredible at leaving my skin feeling fresh and glowing. I love a cleanser that just leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean and completely makeup free!

And that’s it.

I hope you liked this different blog post from me as I really enjoyed putting it together.
